Two new Halloween events have just been added to the (wait for it) EVENTS page .

I’ll be joining long time partner in crime David Moody for Bristol Horror Con (Saturday 17th October) and a special Infected Books evening at Waterstones Birmingham (Friday 30th October).

The Waterstones event will include the launch of my forthcoming new horror book, VOODOO CHILD, with a special appearance by co-author Andre Duza.

Check out all the details right here.

This is Horror/ Coventry Waterstone’s Event

Saturday 29th June (God, was it two weeks ago?) saw fellow horror hack David Moody and myself roll into Coventry for another of our bizarre double-act events. But this wasn’t your typical author talking heads panel. In front of a twenty strong audience in the small, intimate setting of Esquire’s Coffee Shop, Dave and I talked, warts-and-all, about the highs and lows of being a working writer these days. No smoke or mirrors. From the no-show bookstore signings to disappointing sales, we told it like it is. And everyone there seemed to enjoy our no-nonsense approach.

Theresa Derwin and Dave himself have already written up some great pieces on the event, which you can read here and here, respectively.

Big thanks again to Michael Wilson (This Is Horror) and Rich Coad (Coventry Waterstone’s) for making the event possible and finding people for us to talk with. And HUGE thanks to Paul Feeney for not only travelling a good few miles to join us, but taking some snaps of the event to boot (see above).

Also, check out my review, and video discussion with Dave, following our watching the WORLD WAR Z movie. What do two zombie horror hacks think of the biggest budget zombie movie to date? Find out here.
